your village is posher than mine Pete.Mine has got a handful of cottages a field in the middle, marshes round the ouside muddy country lanes and little tracks that look nice to walk down but end up leading you into the middle of nowhere or take you up to boggy dykes. You can't drive a tractor over the marshes in winter. Our neighbour has had to drag all sorts off the marsh including a fire engine which got stuck trying to rescue a horse. He ended up dragging them both out with his muirhill!

kids start school ar age 4? same here but my buddy's daughter in slovakia started at 2 1/2! kinda makes sense too - they try to pack the basics in there by age 7 when the brain slows down. i guess they're more interested in "formative years" than tradition. :)
