Self Checkouts at Walmart

Our Walmart has just acquired these new little self checkouts. I won't use them. I told the cashier it seems every week when I come in to get my groceries there are more and more of these things open, and less and less real people to check us out. She says people are telling her that a lot. I won't use them, and I told her why. It is taking jobs away, or at least hours of pay from people. Think about it, these stores are trying to program us to, go in and pick out our stuff, scan our stuff, bag our stuff, pay for our stuff, load our stuff into the car, (remember when the grocery boy would take your groceries out for you, and load them in the car?) and then take it home and unload it and put it away. No thank you! There are a lot of complaints, I betcha they take them out before its over with. I won't conform to it.

Hope Y'all don't mind all the posts, I been gonefor two days, just caught up on the reading, and had stuff to say, so here I am. :)

We have Fareway Grocery stores around us. They do it the right way. They still bag your groceries and take them to your car. They are almost offended when you carry your single bag out yourself. They are also closed on Sundays so employees can spend time with family. They get my business.

Home depot is using using them here, so are some of the supermarkets. People will use them, companies know this. The reason, if there is a long line at a checkout counter, due to the fact they don't want to open a new lane, and someone who has just one or two items to checkout, they will go to the self checkout . Maybe it will take a while, but we americans are always in a hurry, so we will use them. Terrible to waste a minute you know. Too bad

I don't think they will go away. I have never used them at Walmart but have at one of the grocery stores.

Picture a guy trying to use the silly junk with twin two-year-olds helping or having a melt-down.

just everybody keep their word and maybe we can break them.ha I refuse to buy grocerys and gas at wallmart as they are going to close every small business on the street and then look out. also look at seatbelts they were going to lower ins rates only thing they did was line some CEO ,s pockets . not to start an argument they do save lives
