I just realized I may have ticked a few of you off by my post down on the "Got Sadam thread"
I'm not picking on any nationality, But heres a look into how most of us feel espically me.
We the citizens of the USA feel compassionate to all nationalities and there fore its our destiney
to interveine where we are not welcome alot of times. We have to because if we don't in the long run our country and people will be in Danger. We are not always right but atleast in the big picture we do right by others as much as possible. We were born free and we love it, I'm sure that you who are not free if you had your choice you would choose Freedom over anything else...Freedom can be scary to those who do not know it.
No one wants to live with the constant threat of death. I am thankful to live in what I believe to be the GREATEST country on earth, yet you cannot expect me to sit idlely by why you destroy
life...
As I have gotten older I have changed my way of thinking from...(don't worry about Those other countries it will all work out) to someone needs to stop all the Death and respect each person as a person... I fault no one for thier religon whatever it is..."WE CAN ALL GET ALONG" and sooner or later "WE ALL WILL HAVE TO ANSWER FOR OUR ACTIONS"....
Freedom does not have a price tag, I know how it feels and I like it, I promise to whine less when I pay my taxes because I know it does help others that need it more than my self.
I can only hope that I have not offended any one on this board because I really like you all...
I will apologize if I offended you or your country " I'm sorry"

inclosing I would like to say...
Best wishes to everyone and God Bless....I know I count my blessings daily.....

TO, I really try not to get involved in these discussions. I'm never offended by someone else's opinion. However I need to question your reasoning on your statement,
"Freedom does not have a price tag, I know how it feels and I like it,"
I'm not sure how you justify this statement, but I do question it's validity.
I am not offended by this statement, but I do feel it's a slap in the face to every soldier that ever died in the service of our country. Tell the boys at pearle harbor, Tell the good folks in London, the south Koreans, the south Vietnamese, or any other victims of attacks or oppression.
Without these payments, you may well never have known your freedoms that you enjoy.
No I'm not offended, but if you ever decided you were wrong, I hope you will tell all the people that paid the price for MY freedom. They deserve it. I know the price they paid and I'll owe that debt as long as I'm alive.
Respectfully
Ron

Ron....please don't misunderstand my statements... I ment "monetary price tag" we all should care a little less about money than life...

There can be no repayment great enough for giving your life for Freedom....I am thankful to all vets in the past and present. I cannot think of words that would be good enough to show my apperication to all that gave the ultimate sacrafrice for me and my family ( Life is everything) theres no sentiment I can express good enough to those who gave thiers for mine....
I can only pray the words "thank you" will surfice....I'm truly at alost for finding anything better...
I Thank you!
best wishes

Yep you can buy just about everything with money except freedom. I have seen enough posts from TO35 to know he is all American and meant no offense to our armed forces. Someone once said "THE PRICE OF FREEDOM IS ETERNAL VIGILANCE"
smart, whoever said it.
