All this talk of food made me hungry!!
I have a buttermilk pie in the oven and it smells so good I want to keep it and eat it.
I may just have to bake another during the Cowboy game tonight.
This one is for a bake sale for a girl from my church who is fighting cancer.
She has two little boys and is having a hard time financially.
so several of the ladies from church decided to do a fund raiser bake sale for her.
I suspect I will make another one, I think I have another pie crust and just enough buttermilk to do it.

Tgg custard, pumpkin and coconut pies without coconut except in the meringue are my favorite.

Also a choc dream pie my sis in law makes. I don't like graham cracker crust tho...

Lenore would you mind posting your recipes for both pies....My husband said his mom used to make a pie that used butter, which a lot do, but he thought it was a butter pie.....ever heard of it? I can't find it anywhere.

Awwwww Danggit, Lenore!!! Buttermilk pie is one of my favorites. Now I'm droolin' in my beard. Gotta add buttermilk to the grocery list!

yes, it and coconut cream pie are my two favorites. I am adding more sugar to my list, going to stop on my way home from church.
I need more sugar I order to make another one for me!!
My daughter in law loves it, too, so maybe I can share it with her.
