It was visitor's day at the Lunatic Asylum. All the inmates were standing
in
the courtyard and singing "Ave Maria."
They were singing it beautifully. Oddly, each of them was holding a red
apple
in one hand and tapping it rhythmically with a pencil.

A visitor listened in wonder to the performance, and then approached the
conductor.
"I'm a retired Choir Director," he said. "This is one of the best choirs
I
have ever heard."

"Yes, I am very proud of them," said the conductor.

"You should take them on tour," said the visitor. "What are they called?"

"Surely that's obvious," replied the conductor.

"They're the MoronTapanapple Choir."

we visited an asylum in high school, and a patient motioned me aside. deciding i could stomp him if need be, i listened to the fella - never forget what he said: "you're young and have your whole life ahead of you. well get in here if you can, man! otherwise you'll be paying taxes and fixing your own meals and get drafted and have all those constant worries - you'd have to be crazy to want that! :)" yep, i sometimes wonder why i didn't take him up on it :)
