Painting a concrete wishing well....went yesterday and picked up my Dads Christmas present from my Uncle...its an unpainted wishing well....stands 36 inches Tall with a little roof on it.....Today I get to Place it in the yard and get it ready for paint.....OK now I need color Ideas....

There is a powder additative for coloring mortar and cement. It is normaly added when the batch is mixed but will permantly stain if dusted on after the mix has set. Comes in all sorts of color and the shades can be adjusted by repeated dustings. Just a suggestion.

You might want to consider epoxy. If you know someone in the concrete construction trade, they might be able to steer you in the right direction. I'm reasonably sure you can buy the stuff in a various colors. You may find it in a construction supply store. But, I doubt that Home Depot would carry it. Another thing, it's very expensive. Good luck

I have painted many murals on brick and concreat walls and have just primed it with an oil base primer and then painted with oil base paint. As far as i know they are still withstanding the elements just fine. JMPO. Hope it helps.
