locals here have a place where they all go and now it,s well known and everybody comes from all over and go snowmobiling up there , just heard on the scanner, they dispatched two ambulances , search and rescue and the RCMP (police) don,t know all what happened yet but it seems someone ran down someone else, a 35yr old woman has broken leg(s) not sure about why two hurt ,maybe it was the driver, lol anyways two hurt and it was because of people getting run down.

Snowmobilers are kind of a pain. They 'mow over' my new spruce trees every year. I have most 'holes' planted after 3 years, but will require another 2 years.

You see, I can not put up a electric fence until the trees grow due to the snowmobiles that will run into the fence causing great injury to themselves.

The plus side is the snowmobilers bring in many millions of dollars to our rather poor area. It makes a difference!

My neibors freinds came over today from the coast and brought there snowmobiles to play with. They are doing 60 plus MPH on our roads right now maybe I should turn on the scanner too? Lots of barb wire fences to run into around here! Mark H.

i think booze was involved in this one the police are investagating now and for them to be way back up there this late doesn,t seem right either usually down some by now anyways.alot of them riding around here don,t usually go out unless they have an ampble supply to hold them over it seems.

i was at one of my bil last night , he was telling me a bottle of beer is about 4 bucks in the bar now and a pack of smoke is close to 10 bucks, don,t know how anybody can afford to drink anymore when i drank, i smoked and would spend a wack of money way back then and i think a glass of draft was about 75 cents and i can,t remember the smokes about a buck something.a weekender would break my bank nowadays for sure, haha , still remeber one of the songs i heard one sunday after a weekender, johnny cash SUNDAY MORING COMMING DOWN, man the song stuck with me haha.

One time in the mid ,70s when I was living upstate NY, a couple of us were riding on a sunday afternoon, I led out through our apple orchard, and found an old barbed wire fence in the grass. The ski's picked it up, sent it over the hood and windshield, and it skinned my nose and pulled my helmet up over my head. Last time I broke trail!!!!!!!! I mowed that orchard 3-4 times a year.
Bottle of beer around here is about a dollar I think, smokes are running $2.50 for generics and about $3.50 for name brands. Don't get inta bars much anymore, so I'm not sure what imports are.
Sunday morning comming down, ALWAYS reminds me of having to look out to see if the car was in one piece! Glad them days are over.
Later
Ron

They be drinkin the good stuff! Mixen the hard stuff with the beer. I should go over there around 6:30 and get them up with some loud noise. Maybe shoot off about 30 .223 rounds and say let party! Mark H.

do it behind a hill and crank up "second week of deer camp" on the truck's stereo - that oughta encourage them :)

my favorite trick is to stash the boat up the creek and wait for city canoeists at high banks - then lay down behind a bush and cough like a lion - more fun than disneyland - first it gets dead quiet and then you oughta see them paddles move :)

One time I was out target shooting with my .308 M-14/M1A when this car pulled up to do the same thing. 4 Orientals got out and had a .25 cal hand gun and just shot a clip in to the brush with out knowing if any one was there. Well it was very close to me and I was above them just out of site. I locked a 20 round Mag in it and let off 20 rounds just above there heads. None of them had hearing protection on and you should have seen them jump in there car and split. I bet they thought twice befor doing that again. Mark H.
