Whats Your New Years Resolution?

I know, I know, why make them, your just going to break them, but I have to try, don't I?

Since I was so disappointed in myself this past October for not being ready to do my agility show with Tip at the Ga National Fair, my resolution is to buy the rest of the equipment I need, and make the equipment I had intended on making last year. I even have the wood and paint, just didn't get around to it.

Then, my other resolution is to take a walk every morning and get Tip and I into shape. After the equipment is finished, we also need to start practicing for about 10 minutes each day. (You can't practice for too long, it has to be fun for you and the dog, or they will hate it)

I also have entertained the thought of having an ad put in the paper this spring for basic obedience training and beginner agility classes at my house. Make a little moolah, and have some fun at the same time. Thats not a resolution though, just thinking about it.

to henceforth refrain from referring to peace officers as "some dam barney fife". and i'm not gonna use my sleeves to spiff up the poor souls anymore either - nossiree, from now on if i see donut crumbs on somebody's moustache, i'll just whoop them off with my cane! :)

"if yer getting hauled off to jail anyway, why not play with the siren?" this thing loaded? :)

I should:

Spend less time on the computer.
Read my bible more.
Work harder.
Make more money.
Keep house cleaner.
Eat better.
Exercize more.
Weed my flower beds.
Prune the roses.
Fight the poison ivy vines that sneak in from the nieghbor's yard.
Go to bed earlier.
etc, etc......

but.... I probably will not make them resolutions.

I have many...

But they all come down to one theme...

I hereby resolve to have more fun in the coming year...

Amen to that, brother Salmoneye, and must also push myself to work a bit harder, expect lots to do in the new coming year.

Happy New year every one and all.

Well, here's hoping you get all that done. My resolution is to finish my 'Jesse' article, complete with pictures and to write at least a thousand words a day.

Good luck girl. What happened to the book? I can't get to it anymore online. Whats the Jesse article? I want to read it.

Cindi    Posted 12-28-2003 at 07:46:49       [Reply]  [No Email]
I think I am at a stopping point on that one as regards how much more I want to share. I will finish it, but only eventually, and hopefully for a publisher.

Old Jesse is a neighbor and originally I wanted to use him as the subject of a book on natural Florida history but his memory is kinda glitchy so I am going to do an article with him on citrus tree grafting. I was just waiting for the citrus to get ripe.
