You know, I don't think I've seen anyone wearing natural fur clothing in many many years? But, that may be cause I live near Houston where a freeze is about as common as a hot day at the north pole! :)

Several years ago a noted hollywood female was wearing her mink when she was approached by someone who said they were going to throw acid on the coat. She said, go ahead, my insurance will buy me a new one made from 49 more dead mink. They left.

My wife's sister has a beautiful full-length mink coat. This being New England, she has plenty of chances to wear it. I once asked her what she says when people criticize her. She just says in a loud voice (not difficult for her) EXCUSE ME? ARE THOSE LEATHER SHOES YOU'RE WEARING? IS THAT PRIME RIB YOU'RE EATING?
She says it works every time.

I still wear a rabbit skin hat when I plow in the winter.
My head sweats...
