That about sums it up. I had heard all that and more from a book I bought that had recipes in them to make your own dog food.

Well, needless to say, even if I hadn't seen the Iams thing, I think I will just find a better food for Tip. She eats what we eat half the time anyway. We had hotdogs tonight, and if we have steak, she always gets her own. Far be it from me to deprive my angel from the best! :)

So what should we feed our pets? If I could have... I would have buried my pets in the backyard..the thought of them being ground up bothers me alot...

Home cooked food like you eat yourself will do. There is lots of good books and more information on that site on how to make your own food. We just make ours at the same time we cook dinner and they eat more then we do. We also add vitimans and Tri-Calciun-Phosfate for the Calcium suplement instead of bone meal. It is not that hard once you get used to doing it for a while. Like having a bigger family!! If you don't have to feed 4 - 150 lb dogs it is real easy. Mark H.

Mark
It is no secert that dog food producers use dog, cat, horse and other meats in their production process.

What do you think the biggest cause of Mad Cow Disease is? Cattle on ranches and at stock yards are forced into cannibalism. I do not mean that they are starved to the point of eating each other. It is the brains and other organs that are processed into the feed that they are given.
Was it not found that cannibalism causes bovine spongiform something or another in "Head Hunters" of the Tropics many years ago?

That commercial dog food must be terrible. This afternoon my well fed dog was gnawing on a piece of road-kill carrion she had drug up.

The perfect food complete and ballanced unless it was poisoned by something befor hand and that is why it died. Mark H.
