I am going to Phenix City, AL tomorrow to visit my best friend of 23 years. I need to get out of the house for a bit, and she needs to get out, too. I am going to spend the night down there and come back Tuesday afternoon, as I don't care to drive in the dark. Shelby doesn't want to go, so she is staying with MawMaw and Gaddy, my parents. Ian will be at work, and so it's just me and Tip dog. Going to be a nice trip and a nice visit. Hopefully her boyfriend won't get my dander up. He likes to tell women what to do, and that ain't my style. I will try to be good, not making any promises, cause I just heard he was whooping on a 7 week old puppy cause it messed the carpet. Well, guess I will be footing the bill for a crate and a dog training book, hopefully he can read. :) I have never laid a hand on Tip, and she was trained at 4 months old, and is trained in many other areas too. Why do people beat on their dogs? Does it make them feel BIG? Ah, well, I will set him straight, dont you worry.

I believe my Georgia son lives fairly close to Phoenix City. We'll be going to visit him around Easter.

Yeah? Where does he live? I lived in Columbus all my life until we moved in 83 I think it was. I was 16, hated it, just because I didn't know anything else. now, Columbus is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. :) I will give them this though, everything that is 55 miles per hour here, slows down to 45 miles an hour there, and so forth. The whole place is slower paced than here, and sometimes thats nice.

He's in a sorta seedy little outskirt of Columbus, Waverly Hall. He was in the Army for several years, which of course took him to that area, and ended up staying in Georgia because that's where he met his current wife. We had been visiting them around Christmas-time, but I found out I like Georgia much better in the springtime. So now we wait till Easter. I buy him and his wife season tickets to Kansas Speedway races, and that brings them here twice a year... they are BIG Nascar fans; I get to enjoy their little girl while they see the races.
