our yardlite tree is about 10 feet from the porch and maybe 15 feet up there. better than a handier version cuz bugs like lites. well i had a sodium-vapor lite there but it quit, so rather than fiddle with it, i opted for a cold-weather fluorescent. after rewiring and attaching cables etc, josh hung it for me and i thought i had fire-tending lite for the woodpile area - it said it was good to -20 and it was and it worked just right for awhile. then the first cold spell took it out and it didn't come back so we've been without one for a month. they didn't say cold weather would take it out and it's kinda up there for someone of limited limberosity so i'm leaning back toward sodium. winter is when we need a lite. years ago i tried those solar things and they're so dim i can't tell one wood block from the other - my bic is brighter. any better approach? :)

'Mornin' DC...like the idea of the motion sensor lite......all I got is one o' them cheap covered doorway lites with a hundred watt bulb..[all it will take], hangin' next to the back door, just high enough so I can change the bulb.....gives enough lite ta see the ve hic les.....course bein me...the wood pile is around the corner, with no lite.....go figure......

Did ya apply fer the "Patch Directive", yet?? tried ta put in a good word for ya, "grease monkey status" don't count fer much, though.... have a gooder, R.E.L.

what patch directive? for that matter, what patch? let's say i was - er - ah - "gotta holt of" by that one group of distinguished gentlepersons, hereinafter referred to as the BICOPOJ (Bunch In Charge Of Perpetuating Old Jokes) (that's "jopocib" backwards for the medicinally inclined) (not that there's anything wrong with that) and was informally chastized by said BICOPOJ for the mere mention of what may/may not have been mentioned.

BTW for what it's worth, i considered the plain brown wrapper a stroke of genius - it's the only thing i ravenously tear open before feeding the stove. ain't no dam rules about mentioning wrappers, is there? :)

respectacly,
#13 or so
