I'm Awfully Well For The Shape I'm In

There is nothing whatever the matter with me,
Iím just as healthy as healthy can be..
I have arthritis in both of my knees,
And when I talk, I always wheeze!
My pulse is weak and my blood is thin,
Iím awfully good for the shape Iím in.
Arch supports I have for my feet,
Or I wouldnít be able to walk the street.
Sleep is denying me night after night,
And every morning I wake up a sight.
My memory is failing, my head in a spin,
I am practically living on aspirin.
But I am awfully good for the shape I am in.
The moral is plain, as this story is told,
For you and me who are growing old.
Itís better to say, I am fine with a grin,
Than to let people know the shape we are in!

I call the "40's" the "Ibuprophin Years."

I have no idea what to call the "50's."
