Side meat

had a pig slaughtered at local slaughter house and got a lot of side meat. anybody know what to do with it?i don't have a smoke house but have a smoker like a cookout grill thing can i make bacon in it?anyone know how?

Slice it thin, roll in mixture of floue and corn meal and little salt and fry. Start with a little grease and fry crisp. Eat in sandwitch with onion and maybe add fried egg. . A heart attact waiting to happen. But goood

you can also get sugar cure I like it better than smoking as isn,t as dry I think Mortons makes it We buy it a indepentant grocer Haven,t done any lately but used to start a batch on weekend and use it all week

You can fry it up just like bacon.....used to eat it all the time. Just not as salty and no smoke flavor of course.
