We live 1/2 mile off road in the woods.
pro: Need binoculars to spy on neighbors

pro: No water bill! Spring fed water tastes GREAT!
con: hydrant may freeze
pro: Rural Electric is cheap
con: Buying a generator, because when power goes down it may take a week to get it going.
pro: (no pro to propane)
con: reading your tank gauge (in time)
pro: long, lovely, winding drive
con: 100 million tons of stone (it sinks to China before it builds back up)
pro: the dog can run loose
con: critters can eat the dog
pro: the health walk to the mailbox
con: the heart attack walking to the mailbox
pro: Christmas Card View
con: Snow plowing
pro: recycling
con: recycling
con: No pizza delivery
pro: Learning to make your own pizza
pro: extra large bon fires
pro: loud, happy, noisy parties
pro: nude sunbathing
pro: swimming, fishing, ice skating on the pond
pro: learning to love your family, just as they are (they may be the only people you see until spring thaw!!!)

We love it in the country! If you have any other questions...I am sure we will have an answer or at least an opinion!
