Al, how is the wood fired hot water heater working? You've had it running for a while now and I was wondering if everything is working as expected. Would you have done anything different? Has it ever gotten too hot? I am hoping to duplicate your design soon. Thanks, Curt

Good morning.
It's working great but it did get to hot once and the safty valve opened and dumped hot water in a 5 gal pail I had sitting there . So in the fire box I have and loop made out of 18" pipes .
I bought two 10 inch pipes that I'm going to put in there instead . If it does it again I'll make a shorter loop yet .
We have washed dishes , taken a bath and a shower and the pipe comming out out of it is still hot .
So I would say since I put that in my electric hot water heater has not come on .
I had little leak where the copper and the blk pipe connected but I finally got that stopped .
Al

Thanks for the update. Sounds like a a project that will pay back in a short amount of time.
