Thank you all for the kind words and thoughts. Kelly, I enjoyed the poems. Made me cry again. lol. I think the hardest part of this really is seeing him laying there in the road hurt and knowing I should have put him in the house that night. But I can't help but wonder if it was the fireworks that scared him that much that night or if he had one of his seizures and was disoriented and thats why he was so far from home. Either way I should have had him in the house. BUT...if he was that scared...he knows how to open the door and come in hisself. He did that alot. lol. Where we are we harldy lock the door and sometimes inthe middle of the night I would wake up and he would have his chin on the side of the bed looking at me. lol. Good think I can say is he don't have to worry about seizures anymore.

Your very welcome, and I know if your like me, you'll have another. I just love my animals. But, Tip is the favorite, I have to say. :) My husbands aunt and uncle just lost their Lucy a few months ago. She got cancer in her leg, and it spread so fast there was no time to save her and amputate the leg. SHe died within a couple of weeks after they took her to the vet for feeling poorly. But... just recently they went to the humane society and picked up a new dog. She is a spayed 1 year old pit bull mix, as was Lucy. She is a love bug from what I hear :) SO, maybe you could save a dogs life, and go to the shelter. The ones from a shelter seem so grateful for a home. Just an idea :) I know you probably dont want to do that right away, but maybe in the future.

Hey SeaJ,
I am really sorry to hear about your dog.
I know it doesn't help you any , but thought I would let you know our New Year didn't start off to good either.
New Year's Day went to the barn that morning and my Sister's horse had passed in the early hours of the morning.
So here we are New Years Day burying a Horse.:(
We were all sadden so much by it.
She was like a part of our family.
Of course we had also lost a goat New Years eve , so had to bury him New Years, after we buried the horse.
Well Hope all is doing ok there. As ok as can be.
If you ever need to talk you know where I am at.

I'm sorry to hear that. It seems like alot of people lost animals here recently. Maybe its just that I know so many people with lots of animals now. But seems like they "go" in groups.
