Ahhh, the frozen nord! My husband's favorite place (where the newspapers are a week old, and the bait has to be flown in, but the beer is always plentiful and cold!)

We went ice fishing up in Canada a couple of years ago. Somebody had borrowed our fishfinder, so we had to borrow someone elses. We buy a lake map and head out for the frozen depths...Drill a couple of holes, drop the sonar, drop the line, get comfy on the bucket. Husband starts going crazy, "this #$%^ fish finder is a piece of &^%** crap" It tells us we are in about 2 ft. of water! I catch a crappie and tell him to calm down...to use his skill and forget about the hardware! Soon a gentleman comes up on his snowmobile. "Ayah, you folks from Stateside? Ayah, thought so.....ya know ya on a sand bar?"

I laughed so hard the tears froze to my cheeks!
