How many planes would have crashed if all law abiding CITIZENS I repeat CITIZENS had been allowed to carry pistols any where they chose on 9/11?

I hear you, but think back to the many nut cases you have crossed paths with in your life. Would you really have wanted them to be armed?

Nah, I don't think so. I still think it's a crappy subject to amuse you.
Ron, a concealed weapon carrier.

Do you have anything other than protection permit to be able to carry? Just currious on that, I have that hunting/ protection permit but usually do not carry when hunting or walking in the woods. Do I need more?

No all we need is the protection permit. I really should say that I don't normally carry, but when I feel the need I can, and do.
It doesn't cover the city of Philadelphia, and as far as I know, federal buildings and banks are exempt as well. There is some question as to the reciprocity from county to county, but I've been checked in a few other counties and they never said a word.
Your hunting or sportsman permit will cover you to carry "exposed" but the Protection covers concealment, and loaded in a vehicle as well.

My permit says hunting and protection, so I should be ok. One other place it's illegal to carry a gun is inside a Church. I remember that from the literature.

probably the same number... because you would have x amount of people firing a gun in a presurised cabin of a plane witch doesnt have a good outcome....shan with a real name

Shan my guess is that things might have worked out different. Armed citizens would have had a betterchance and possibly would not have fired a shot. A few well placed bullets would have the desired effect without causing damage to the plane. It seems antigun people want to look at the worst case scenerios instead of the best case scenerios. The presence of hand handguns very likely would have caused better result for us that day and saved lives. I think it is sad that we will never know.

I wonder why people think a gun fired inside an airliner would cause a worse catasthropy than what happened on 9/11 without them.
I understand a gun fired inside a plane is not likely to cause a problem for anything but what it is aimed at.
