Summing up gun control laws.

How about making gun control laws simple. My suggestion is this. Anyone who is of age may own a gun{s} of any size type or shape that you can pay for. If you use that gun to kill or harm anyone to steal or take advantage of anyone you will be hunted down and when we get through with you, you will be very very sorry.

I'll have to consult with my advisory councel before I can post a responsible response on the subject. However, I'll be meeting with Virgil and Morgan tonight and I expect to see the others later this week. As soon as they (Doc, bat and Wyatt), check in I should have a concensus. And, then, I will make my report.

In the meantime, my gut feeling is down with gun laws and up with offender justice. (Like high up swinging in a tree). God help me, but, it seems like the lesser evil.

how about every handgun be registered with a balistic report.can only be carried in the state it is regitered in. must carry registration with gun at all times. if found on your person without
registration will be considered illegal you can be held untill regisration can be proven.if registration can not be proven you will be held period just my opinion

The only reason for 'registration' is so they know where to come get your guns when they want them so they can keep us safe from ourselves...How sweet of them...

How about this?...Enforce the laws that we already have in place, and keep the offenders in jail?

Novel concept, eh?

Sid,

Your idea is very good...after the fact!

So, gold tooth is brought to justice...that will not bring your family member back to life.

Hunting rifles yes...handguns no. In fact anyone caught in possession of a handgun should be presumed a criminal who has criminal intent. This would make law enforcement at little easier.

The cops won't have to wait for the crime.

want to hunt with a pistol. I like pistols. I carry a pistol in the truck all the time. Easier then rifle. I use it for drive byes on coyotes and foxes. Let your state deside what guns you have and Wyoming deside what guns I can have. I don't live in your state so why should I have to suffer for your state's problems.

Yet another brilliant attempt by the Left and Sarah Brady at feel-good mandates that will do nothing...

Thank you for helping by continuing to spout rhetoric that has been proved false all over the world when it is actually put into practice...

Look up the states with the lowest person on person crimes...Then look up the gun laws for those states...

Then learn to think for yourself without help from the anti's...Maybe even learn about guns and shoot and stuff so you can rid yourself of this irrational fear you seem to have...

Very true and well said!

offhand i see 3 things that will shoot it down:
1) where's the administration?
2) where's the profit?
it needs both to get considered in congress. after all they need power and money just like we do. otherwise it must be a civil matter. (an obvious expense with unspecified priority or value)
3) how far can we trust unborn politicians?
politicians may at any point become our biggest threat.

nope i still like it the way it's always been -
see we already posess the most effective deterrent of all, in that "anybody even remotely considering crossing my lines can never be certain where they are, what i'm packing or how crazy i am." why throw that power away? and i've heard enough lead fly to know that as long as we have ammo, we stand a chance of winning :)

Aw shucks! I thought you were going to say:

How about making gun control laws simple. My suggestion is this. Anyone who is of age may own a gun{s} of any size type or shape that you can pay for. If you use that gun to kill or harm anyone to steal or take advantage of anyone you will be hunted down and when we catch you ..shoot you with it!!

You say potatoe I say potata. but that will work. I ain't gonna get picky about the final wording. Shall we take it out of committee and send it on through channels?

~Lenore    Posted 01-12-2004 at 07:59:26       [Reply]  [No Email]
Well, Sid, you know how committees are
....need to get it out of there fast!!
I think we can just sign it into law as it is!!
Channels veer off on rabbit trails sometimes
and go on and on and on.
Things get lost on them.
