Just passing by.    Posted 01-12-2004 at 03:52:27       [Reply]  [No Email]
I see down below that you have a concealed weapons permit. I am not impressed, nor am I suprised. Your comments to people on this forum have been consistent with those of a man who is controlled by his fears.
You are one who says it the way you want it, not the way it is.
The cure is maturity.

Look who is telling people that they are afraid...Chicken...

If you are so proud of your convictions, why are you so afraid to leave your name or at least a handle?...

Carjacking victim shoots fleeing suspect
Copyright 2004 Houston Chronicle

A carjacking victim fatally shot his assailant early Sunday, Houston police said.

Investigators said the carjacker, who has not been identified, robbed two men at gunpoint about 1 a.m. while they were sitting in their vehicle in the 11500 block of Keegans Ridge.

He then tried to flee in the vehicle but was shot and killed by one of the victims, police said. No charges have been filed in the case.

Better yet. Car Jackers try to take Van from Victim. Out numberd Victim stuck Glock 17 9mm in face of closest person said I will blow your head off. Criminals decided to leave the seen and Victim was no longer a victim and drove home to family. Nothing more was needed to be done no report no police involment. Mark H.

Back in 1974 my dad owned one of those neighborhood small supermarket in which you could buy liquor only through an outside window after 5pm.
It was like an oasis for the nearby school students coming back home that would stop by for soda and candy.
One night three armed gentlemen made a bad decision and ended up in a crossfire with my dad; one of them made it to tell the story, in a hospital bed.

Sadly, a lady that was passing by on the other side of the road got hit on the leg by one of my dad's bullet. He paid all her hospital bills and also some of the therapy ones afterwards. They became friends.

My dad had never shot his gun towards people before that day, and not once after it.

I was glad I did not have to pull the trigger! I was pulling on it but they decided to leave fast. I did look at where a bullet would go befor I did what I did. The group was large enough to work for a good back stop and I had Black Tallons in it so they would not over penitrate. Mark H.

From what I heard there were many bullets shot over some 6 clients liying on the floor. My dad told me, much later, that he was soooooo frigging afraid he thought he had s--t in his pants. I learned from this 'incident' when my mom, days later, went to SC to assist me in my labor of my first child. I noticed she was smoking, and I never knew she did.
I can only imagine what would have been of him if he didn't have a weapon that night, or didn't know how to use it, for that matter..

Dennis    Posted 01-12-2004 at 09:14:48       [Reply]  [No Email]
Gee, Why do cops carry guns? The ones in their socks I mean, I guess it's FEAR huh?

Ron, Keep up the good work, maybe when All Honest citizens "carry" crime will become nonexistent.

Oh Yea, "Just passing through" BITE ME TOO!

Willy-N    Posted 01-12-2004 at 08:53:14       [Reply]  [No Email]
When I lived near the City and worked in it I carried a concealed weapon and permit. Have had to use it for my protection also. Now that I live way out in the country I don't pay for the permit and only carry if I feel the need to which is not very often. I do carry one on my place once in a while if needed also. Fear is not the reason for me it is to put fear or lead into the other guy. Has worked before and saved a lot of paper work for me and problems for a few crooks who were tring to void my rights to go home to my family. Mark H.

Thank you for your unsolicited assesment of my mental state. As to my permit situation I have not secured this item to impress you nor to surprise you, actually you may be "surprised" at how little time I spend thinking of you at all.
I have never posessed a firearm during a confrontation with another human being, ever!
As to my fears, let me assure you that the voices in my head tell me that said fears will not controll me, as long as I pay very close attention to what the voices are telling me to do.
As to your comment "You are one who says it the way you want it, not the way it is," I suppose you're right. Most of the time I don't know which way it is.
As to my chances of maturing, Duuuuuude it just ain't gonna happen, at least not mentally.
I'm going to take a guess here, and assume that maybe you've never been surprised by a pack of wild dogs, who are starved after a hard winter. When your legs are only 2 feet off the ground, that tractor just won't go fast enough. Probably never found a couple of coyotes feasting on your newborn calf either. Maybe you've never even turned the corner of the barn and stood face to face with a P.O.'d bear sow that's looking for her cub. In times like these that pacifist attitude just doesn't help much.
JUST PASSING BY, I guess you're right, because in my idealistic world of the way I'd want it to be, You would stand up, say your name, and face me with your accusations, then we would have a gentlemenly discussion. Well that is NOT the "way it is!"
TO THE MEMBERS OF THIS BOARD. I know that sometimes I pass flippant remarks, and try to respond in a humorus way and some times it doesn't work. I have never intended to offend anyone, unless they attacked me. If in fact I have been rude or offensive in any of these poor ill fated stabs at humor I offer my sincere regrets. I hope that you will understand that it was due to the lack of maturity on my part.
JUST PASSING BY, I just took a vote here, and not counting the hanging chads, by a 94% margin. The voices and I have agreed on one thing.

You have no need to apologize for your comments on this board. Most here appreciate your humor and mindset.

well add me to that list, I KNOW I have said some things I regretted, and some I have not. And no I won't mature much more either.

Cosmo    Posted 01-12-2004 at 06:58:11       [Reply]  [No Email]
I also have a concealed weapons permit. Can you analyze me from a distance that easily or is that your standard analysis of everyone with a mind of his own? I hope you are cheaper than my regular shrink. He says the reason I have a carry permit is because I have a persecution complex, but I know he says that because he secretly wants to kill me.:)

Dieselrider    Posted 01-12-2004 at 04:23:46       [Reply]  [No Email]
I see you couldn't just pass by with your mouth shut though, Now that speaks of maturity, hey?

Dave Smith    Posted 01-12-2004 at 04:45:56       [Reply]  [Send Email]
And not a mature enough man to state his name.
Dave <*)))><

Real courageous, too. Must be afraid Ron is gonna hunt him down like the dirty dog he is and blow him away with his concealed weapon. (Or could "him" be a "her"?)

Doc    Posted 01-12-2004 at 06:41:30       [Reply]  [No Email]
Whos fellas.

We may not like what he has to say but he has the right to say it without harassment don't you think. Name or not. Just let it be and don't respond.

This is not the kind of thing I expect on this board. We're better than this.

Sorry Doc,    Posted 01-12-2004 at 07:43:13       [Reply]  [No Email]
Just couldn't do it. Didn't even try.
But thanx for the thought. hehehe

Doc, you know "passing by" was not really passing by.
I am sure he/she has been lurking and seeing what kind of a stir it caused.
Think how disappointed he/she would have been if no one responded.

toolman    Posted 01-12-2004 at 09:02:54       [Reply]  [No Email]
he,d be some upset if he ever knew what went on in my head .concealed weapons or a baseball bat as long as i get the job done it doesn,t much matter, if you between me and whats mine and intend to do any harm.

Doc    Posted 01-12-2004 at 08:48:01       [Reply]  [No Email]
I understand.

Les    Posted 01-12-2004 at 06:53:50       [Reply]  [No Email]
Who's harrassing? We're just trying to get this person of obviously deep personal conviction to come out into the light, not snipe from deep cover.
