Thanks to your advice, a new needle and hours of tilting, the Singer is behaving itself again.

I figure if Picasso can call THAT art, i can call THIS a potholder. :)
No trophies yet, but sewing season just opened for me. heh heh

Hi Old Warrior,
I recently cleaned and refinished the woodwork on my grandmother's old foot pedal singer. It is still in good shape, except it needs a new belt. My mother taught me how to sew a few stitches on it when I was a child. It's retired now, but makes a good conversation piece. Good luck with the pot-holders.
