Do those Highland cattle get? Are they a smaller breed like the Dexters or full size? I usually butcher mine at about 18-24 months and they weigh around 12-1400 #'s. They hang up about 6-800#'s. I just like knowing how others do things so I can keep thinking and incorporating new ideas. How's the weather out there?

Highland cows 1500 lbs, bulls 2,000 lbs mature. 18-24 mos. 1,000 - 1,100 lbs average weight and dress out around 60% so not to bad a sized animal for meat and lower in colesteral then regular beef. Our weather has been real nice lately 30-40 degs and no real snow to speak of. Mark H.
