Heatlifting to discover that 100% of men with country origins in middle America do "womans" work around the house whether they have jobs or retired or just between jobs. By "REAL MEN" I meant those with enough self confidence as men that allowing others to know that they helped their wives didn't tarnish their egos. It appears to be a healthy ongoing policy in marriage today. Lets hope our children pick up on this marriage saving good habit.

To be honest I don't want my husband doing my work. I want it done right! :> ) Just kidding. Really though, I will do it and do it happily. I don't think his manhood has anything to do with his housekeeping abilities. I know this is an unpopular thing to say. Here it goes anyway. I think things were better when women stayed home and took care of their families.

what about real women    Posted 01-21-2004 at 08:46:45       [Reply]  [No Email]
you know the ones, the lady that lets or helps her husband overhaul the 350 chevy engine in the living room because it's too cold outside. The ones that clean their own deer and hogs in the bath-tub. The ones who scale and skin the fish in the kitchen sink. The ones who bait their own hook when fishing with worms. And what about the ones who go out behind the tree to do their business out in amongst the poison ivy? Any REAL women out there? He he he

If I had to do my own "womans" work, I'd be looking for another woman...

WHERE in the world did you get the impression that 100% of the men with country origins do housework??? My hubby was raised on a dairy farm, so he qualifies that way....BUT, the only thing he will do around the house is HIS laundry, if it needs doing. Sorry to bust your bubble....
