i don't like GW and here's why:
born of privilege to rich white parents
according to most accounts never worked a real day's work in his life
got through ivy league school because of daddy (although not the first to do that)
made it in business because of daddies connections
was a drunk and a rake in younger years
he would have been called a "punk" yrs. ago (the wored means something totally different nowaday's)
if many of you would have met him in his wisea** days you might have wanted to give him a bloody nose
military service? (not the first one to dodge that though)
he's a cocky momma's boy

finally, he is not the president, cheney is, GW is a puppet. just like he always was.

I voted for Mr. Bush once and I will vote for him again. If you really don't like him why don't you go run against him as some of the other Morons are now trying? Let me also say this the last good democratic president was JFK. If JFK were trying to run for president today he would have to do so on the Republican ticket as the Democrats would not have him or his views.

because of this post, I am going to kick my daughter out in the street. Yes, shes only 6 but if I help her in anyway, it will be used as ammo if she ever gets a good job. I don't want that on my conciense.

How much more "BLOOD" will get on GW's hands? Look up iraqibodycount.com.

RusselAZ    Posted 01-24-2004 at 17:41:17       [Reply]  [Send Email]
Why isn't the blood on the iraqi terrorist hands? They are the ones setting off the bombs. Lets see, lets put a roadside bomb by your driveway and see how you like it.

we are the ones who stirred up the hornets nest. Oh yeah, I forgot. The war is over.

I am no military strategist but it seems to me that the Bush strategy involves getting Sadam and Bin ladden supporters out in the open, forcing them to spend most of their effort and resources in foreign places rather than here on U.S. soil. It IS a shame we are losing sons and daughters in foreign places, but this is the price you pay as a moral leader of democratic nations. Forcing Islamic fundamentalists to fight on our terms and the ground we choose instead of allowing this enemy to use their resources on cells in this country is working. Some Democrats better wake up and realize we are fighting World War III. The only excuse we need to do so is 9/11, not WMD's. You may not agree with this president but he IS fighting for the survival of your childrens way of life whether you agree with his background or party.

James    Posted 01-24-2004 at 19:05:35       [Reply]  [No Email]
My cousin is a Marine Sgt. who came back from Iraq.He told me that He and other soldiers in his company , including his superior, have said that we are there for the oil. I am not making this up. There will be many soldiers coming back soon. I hope they will express their opinions. What about all those soldiers in Germany hospitals w/o legs, arms, and eyes? Are they expendible? I respect your opinion, but where is the limit? Where does it end, and when? respectfully, James.

Jon(WI)    Posted 01-24-2004 at 19:55:35       [Reply]  [No Email]
He may have read it wrong. One reason we are there is to protect the oil, not control it. If Iraq falls into the wrong hands, without international embargos, it would be a catastrophe for world economies. What Sadam did with his oil revenues was to build palaces. What we plan on doing with it is build a better life for its owners, the iraqi people. Since this forum is eccessible worldwide, it should be mentioned that the high majority of our troops do not believe the same propaganda your relative has been brainwashed by.

~Lenore    Posted 01-24-2004 at 19:16:29       [Reply]  [No Email]
Where does it end, and when?"

It ends when we surrender our way of life and our country to those islamic terrorist.
Thank goodness President Bush is not willing to do that. You think it would be better if we just stick our heads in the sand and pretend we are not in danger and should just not retaliate after the Sept. 11 attack on the USA? I don't. IMHO

James    Posted 01-24-2004 at 19:28:35       [Reply]  [No Email]
I guess the only terrorists, are located in Iraq & Afganistan?

~Lenore    Posted 01-24-2004 at 19:42:37       [Reply]  [No Email]
No, James, they are everywhere.
We just choose not to wait to fight here on our soil.
We are in their territory and giving them a message that we will not roll over and give up.

James    Posted 01-24-2004 at 20:05:03       [Reply]  [No Email]
Well they are accomplishing killing Americans everyday over there. On another front, how long will it take for Halliberton to start that oil pipeline through Afganistan? Has anyone heard what has been going on over there, lately? The news has quieted some.

Evidently you believe a person can choose his parents social and financial status. Let the rest of us know how that is done will ya? You may notice, I never defend Bush, he is a grown man he can defend himself. I do however feel it is my duty to keep folks informed. Anyone who thinks Clinton was a good leader does not know much about him. Unfortunatly I know too much about the Clintons due to personal experiances here in Arkansas (see post below for small examples). His pastor in Little Rock, Rex Horne, once made the comment that had he chosen to do so BC would have made a good pastor himself. Bro. Horne has since changed his opinion, publicly.
Leadership has two attributes!
1. You have to lead from the top
2. You must lead by example, if BC is your role model for yourself, your nation, your children, then we are all in deep moral decline if we follow. JMHO- based on experiance

OK I knew it wouldn't las    Posted 01-24-2004 at 16:34:31       [Reply]  [No Email]
Let me tell you why I love Bush, if for no other reason is because our soldiers love him. He brought digity and pride back to the military.
As for Bush's war for oil. Go ask the Kuwaities and Iraqies, I did while you set in your safe cubby hole, no not as a soldier, I tried that but was told I was too old. I went to support my wife who was activated and deployed. Let me tell you what I found out. Kuwaities and Iraqies love America, and the love George Bush. How do I know, cause they told me. They don't care about WMD, they care that Bush rid them of a murder who killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqies and Kuwaities. They see that the US didn't steal all Kuwaities oil in '91. In fact Kuwaities have a tower, Liberation Tower, decated to the Americans who saved them. They have a date set a side each year to honor the US for their liberation. To the Kuwaities there was no coalition, they know, with out the US there would have been no liberation.
While you play on your Dean and Kerry web sites I met my wife in Walter Reed hospital after she was medivac from Kuwait. There I saw the heart breaking story of GIs begging to be released so they can re-join their comrades they left in Iraq. Too many know the military wont re-turn GI who are missing legs and arms. I saw their tears because they feel they have deserted their brothers and sisters.

You sir, are a traiter to those kids and this country. You say you have freedom of speech but you don't have a right to put our kids in harms way and that is just what you and your buddies Dean and Kerry are doing. Your complaining about Bush, the war and our troops encourage the enemy, giving them hope that America will tire of the war and leave before we are finished. This further puts our boys in danger. I am just thankful that I live in Wyoming, an area where your type is not tolarated. Because I am not Christian enough to turn the other cheak to traiters of my Country and my comrade in arms. Yes I am a has been, but I am still a brother in arms to all my fellow soldiers, past, present and future, while you, your buddies Kerry, Dean and others arn't fit to stand in their shadow.

If I'm barred from this site, so be it but I have had enough of you and those like you.

Husband to a just retired soldierette

Step father to another in the military

Kraig,
There is passion in what you say. My family has lost brothers, uncles, fathers, nephews, and sons. What we have not lost is freedom. Only sacrifice insures freedom. Only those that have experienced loss truly know that. God Bless.

I salute you sir. Thank you for your service and this post.

My hats off to you and your family Kraig, for all you have contributed to this countries defense. The freedom of speech that we all (Steve included) enjoy is defended, even unto death, by all our heroes past and present. "the price of freedom is eternal vigilance"

TO35    Posted 01-24-2004 at 16:33:31       [Reply]  [No Email]
As opposed to which other president?
If my memory serves me correct you just named all Us presidents. Some may have served, all went to upper class schools, all were priveliged,All had more money than others, all were white, all were mama's boys(not necessary a bad thing), all were wise A$$es by someones eyes...and all were backed by smart people.
Finally.... excluding your last sentance you just named 75 % of this country's population.
Now please tell me which one of todays presidential canidates do NOT fit any of the things you said?...

best wishes
TO but like the rest need a good story about now to lighten the mood...

Steve, Thank GOD that america is a free country. This also means that you are free to leave and go to another country if you so choose. So go if you think that it is that bad. I love my country, love my life, love my family, love being an american. Love it or leave it.
Mike

Steve, as a side note there are a LOT of places to bash bush.

I recommend "www.siliconinvestor.com/stocktalk/subject.gsp?subjectid=54554" a board called "Bush Bashers & Wingnuts" where they try to get people who think Bush is Hitler and those who think Bush was sent by God together and talk about it.

The coffee shop over there (www.siliconinvestor.com/stocktalk/forum.gsp?forumid=36&numhours=24) has several other political / current event boards such as:
Impeach George W. Bush
HOWARD DEAN -THE NEXT PRESIDENT?
CLOWN-FREE ZONE... sorry, no clowns allowed (my favorite)
John Kerry for President
PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH

to name a few.

Enjoy, Dave

P.S. Sorry if the prior post looks brash. That was not the intent.

I would prefer that you make it a long while.
