Went to our local late night grocery store (hate crowds so I go shopping late sometimes). I was walking down the canned stuff isle and noticed several mexicans approaching me, but did'nt notice the one behind me...They stopped and appeared to be looking when I got to them they had completely blocked the isle
It was then I notice the one that had come up behind me and gave me the bump trying to lift my wallet. I felt his hand right off and reached and grabbed him...immeditely the others turned and scurried off. The one I had was trying to pull away and when he closed his hand and raised it I decked him hitting him right in the nose. He lost his footing and started to fall dragging me down with him cause I was not going to let him go. He did get in one punch grazing my cheek and bringing tears to my eyes, thats when I lost it and popped him three more times just as hard as I could right in the mouth. I looked up and saw several employees coming to help by that time I had rolled him over and was sitting on his back and had his arm up behind him. I told them what happened and for them to call security or police.
Shortly here came a city cop and arrested him, and a check (yes he had a valid Id) found out he had several warrants out for him.
After giving the officer all my inf. the store people helped me get my stuff and checked me out they were really nice and very helpful.
This morning I wake up and my right hand is swollen up and I have a slight scrape on my cheek, but ohhh well I still have my wallet.
watch it out there the crooks are getting braver than ever...

To...guess I'll have to start carring again..

Wish you could have popped a cap in the buzzard! I wish I had been there to get in a few licks too. Glad you are OK.

Glad to hear you got the better of that deal and that you're alright.

Wow, glad your okay. In my 20's I used to go shopping late at night for groceries, I didn't like the crowds either. As I got older, had a child and realized my mortality, I decided to go early about 8 am, after dropping Shelby off to school. I would always hear about people getting assaulted in the parking lots, but never in the store. They picked the wrong guy this time. Good for you. Glad you got the bad guy! :)
