ok honeybee experts. i've cut down a couple of trees that had large hollows in them. i want to make a couple of catch hives to lure swarms next spring. i'm thinking of putting a bottom board with a hole drilled in it on top of a section of hollow log. then placing a super with comb and inner cover/top on it. or would i be better off just hanging comb directly in the hollow tree. or an i just as well off with just leaving out empty boxes with old comb? Thanks
