for somebody to post about how the full moon has contributed to this wicked cold snap.

Someone told me that the cold spell had been brought on by the Iowa Causcuses and the New Hampshire primaries! I told him he's GOTTA be wrong about that; all that hot air probably contributed to Al Gore's global warming and we still don't have an explanation for the cold snap. However, my guess is that Old Mother Nature, who has been around for millions of years, could probably explain it to us.

That's just foolishness. This cold snap is caused by the hole in the ozone, which is caused by the space shuttles punching holes in it. That's how all this cold outerspace weather gets here to the Northeast!
Ron,
PS don't be surprised if stars start falling through those holes soon.

Just got done reading a scientificle study that says, part of the problem is excesive use of pink insulation on the inside of windows. This prevents the heat from northern houses from escaping and warming the ambient air in the lower 48? Can't say it's true but it sounds good to me.
Later

Well when I think of pink stock, I usually consider something else! Pepto-Bismol. All this cold weather gives me heartburn

Les, that brought back something that happened to me. I was a Sgt. working the 12am.-8am. shift. Well, some where around 2:30 am. a few other Sgts. and I were outside smoking and the Lt. joins us. I made a comment on how big a bright the moon was. Lt. says, "Yes, must be awful hot up there to give off all that light!" The rest of us just about peed our pants trying NOT to laugh in his face. Maybe THAT explains the cold air! LOL!
