I need help from you experts. I must be doing something wrong. I thought you just copy and paste the link into the Optional Link URL box. What am I missing?

That is what I do.
I copy the URL from the address bar at the top, then paste it in the "Optional Link URL:" space.
Then print the title in the "Link Title" space.
That should work.

Is the link supposed to show on the preview before you post the message? I had the URL copied in the box and a Link title entered but only my message text shows up when I preview. Any ideas?

Yes, it should show in the "preview".

Thanks Lenore. It seems like that is exactly what I did but maybe I'll try again. These fingers like to do sneaky things once in a while.

You have to give it a name in the "Link Title" box.

I know what I was doing wrong. I copied only from the www part. That'll teach me to try to cut corners. Thanks for the help guys!

Still can't seem to make it work. Maybe just not my day. Here's one last try.
