And so does my husband!

To celebrate our first wedding anniversary, my husband surprised me with tickets to the Toby Keith concert in Colorado Springs. We had an awesome time. Toby put on a great show!

Yes he does! I like most of his work, he's sure a lot closer to my heart than those Dixie sleazebags. Hey Congrats on the anniversary!

...Toby Keith is more than awesome. In a perfect world...well...cannot get enough of him. I would love so very much to meet him. I saw him finally at the Mullins Center on 2/12. No words can describe what I think of him. His wife is the luckiest lady on the planet.

Hey Cowgirlj,

Sounds like my kind of guy.

Is the "Navajo Hogan" or it's successors still
operating on North Nevada Ave? In the sixties
I was stationed at Ft. Carson and "The Hogan"
was my second home. Entertainment from Las Vegas.
Many a good time was had there!

Just Curious,

Jet, the Hogan is still there and using the same name. I haven't been since the new owners bought it, so don't know what the atmosphere is now.

Hey Jet,
I don't know, we don't really do much night life. For the most part we just work hard and hang out at the farm. Part of the reason this concert was such a great surprise!
Once I get this hubby of mine two-steppin' things will change.

Happy anniversary! Yes, Toby is great! We are going to see Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the cable guy in Feb.

My hubby would love to see Jeff Foxworthy. He quotes him all the time. Sounds like fun!

And so does my wife!!!!!! She had been acting real secretive the past couple of weeks; going out on the back porch to make phone calls, whispering to the kids, making sure to get the mail before I did, stuff like that. Well I finally confronted her and ask what was going on she told me she had made plans to go to Nashville over St. Valentines day weekend and see Alison Krause and Union Station!!!!! My all time favorite Bluegrass band. What a gal. (My wife that is) Now, how am I gonna top that as a present for Valentines day?

Thanks, but uh, no thanks! This is a second marriage for us both. My 3 boys are grown and I have a grand daughter, lol! I do know what you mean though! I can't get used to being a grand parent.
I think I'm going to model myself after the little ol' lady we saw at the concert! She was priceless! Had to be in her eighties, but she stood up and danced and sang along to EVERY song Toby Keith performed. I think she was with her grand son there. I'd be willing to bet she dragged him along to keep her company, and not the other way around!
