I learned a new word today: snirt. It's the dirt, ice, and packed snow that accumulates in your wheel wells.

That isn't what my hubby called it when he had to shovel 12" more of snow and found the doors frozen shut

Geez, here I am in the snow belt, ski country of NH and we ain't had a real snow storm this month. Might be 6" on the ground at the most and the wind has scoured it off the fields in lots of places.

Know how ya feel. We're supposed to get around 3 feet a year. This year there hasn't been enough to make it worth while to get out the shovels. The "winter storm" that all the newsies were yelping about this week turned out to be half an inch. Of course right now it's -8*F and dropping. But that's a whole nother story.
