I'm waking up, I'll be there in a minute...okay here I am. (Yawn) My daddy would wake us up by banging on our door and yelling "GET UP! TIME TO GET UP! LETS GO!" No gentle waking at our house. Patria, I too have much house cleaning to do. Lots to do around here, having company for the Superbowl tomorrow, so I got to make a run to the store tomorrow morning. Good morning TO35, how come your up so early? Or have you not gone to bed yet? :)

My goodness TO35, it's no wonder "Honey" is not home!!
With those kind of work hours she'd be home alone all the time.
LOL

Dad's wake up call-    Posted 01-31-2004 at 05:55:43       [Reply]  [No Email]
Got trained by Dad. He'd call once. Then he'd kick the bed. That will wake you up. He wouldn't stand to have a soul go hungry. Big breakfast, and after that bed kick you were awake and just footsteps from a hot bowl of oatmeal, then eggs and bacon if you still felt empty. I sure miss that old bed kicker. He'd feed everyone that showed up at the door. Mike D.

Good morning. Murky skies again this morning, looks like a batch of cream gravy up there. My father used to say...

"Get up, get up, you're sleeping your life away.."

Fred's father still says to Fred now even though he's 44 years old...

"Wake up and p*ss boy, the world's on fire."

You just have to know the guy (grin)
