Yup , the old home around here are good hunting also as are the schools and parks . You do have to be careful about local Laws , some towns/citys have no detecting laws on the books that means public ground , but also some privite as well .... I have been at one time a member to a local detecting club and there are still clubs active in the field . Have also been to the club and manufactures Treasure Hunts .... Garretts first International Championship semifinals here in MA. back in the early 80's . Garrett leased the North Hampton Fair grounds for a weekend . This fair started back in the mid-1800's and had never been hunted . the stuff that was found that weekend was unbelieveable , silver coins from the early 1800's and at lease 2 gold coins were found ,,, it was to bad I was just starting out and did not know what I do now it was a once in a life time hunt . People hunted all day and night some for going the hunts just to find the coins and relics that was on the fair grounds and not planted for the hunts by Garrett.
