I loved this super bowl the 2nd and 3rd quarter mostly. My numbers were 4 and 0. Spent $10 won $250 - $10.00=$240. Best $10 bucks I have spent in a long time!!!! The food was great, the company was better.

I watched Janet at half time and didn't even see the whole breast incident. Must not have been much to see. I am not sure how I missed it. Oh well, she is not deserving of such attention anyway.

SB XXXVIII was the most BORING SB I've watched. Any no score game up until the last 3" of the first half is Boring. Football involves beauty of physical motion due to a good run or good reception. This didn't occur until the 2nd half. Kind-a-wonder if Janet's little show had something to do with the testoserone level in the 3rd Qtr. As for the commentators, Their voices were lifeless and very little crowd noise due to lack of enthusiasm, until the 2nd half that is.

I disagree. I thought this Super Bowl was one of the best I have ever seen--two super defenses working on eachother very effectively for most of the game, and then the exciting fast scoring drives back and forth later in the game. I love a game where 2 evenly matched teams slug it out and the game is decided on the last play of the game.

Some Super Bowls have been really boring, with one team blowing out the other and there never really is a question of who is going to win. In yesterday's game, I don't think many people turned their TV's to a different channel after halftime.

I ate my dinner while the halftime show was on, and wasn't really paying much attention to it. I don't care for rap and much of the modern sound and doubt that most adults over about 25 do. Maybe the producers will get something better in the future and then I might watch the halftime entertainment. If I hadn't heard it on the news today, I would never have noticed the flap about Janet Jackson. Big deal!

I thought the game was played fairly well. Not the best SB I've seen. But, I really enjoyed those pricey commercials. As for Janet, I used that time to go visit the boys room.

Yesterday was the first time I had watched the Superbowl in many years, and I did think it was a very good game. That being said when the halftime show came on, I took that time to make my weekly phone call to speak to my kids who reside in another state so I missed all the controversial stuff par usual lol. I must say I did enjoy and laugh at several of the commercials during the game

No big deal    Posted 02-02-2004 at 06:46:04       [Reply]  [No Email]
That shouldn't be the most memorable part of the game. However, I see Janet Jackson has decidedthat she is so washed up that she needed a ploy to get back into the public eye or she is starving for all the attention her brother is getting. She was the least bit entertaining, like always. I didn't quite get how she fit in w/ all the other big names?

What's a wigger?

It is generally known that wigger is a white person and I'll use the correct term, who wants to be or act like a black person, in other words a white person who wants to be a *igger. You have to narrow minded or ignorant to use the term.

I sure hope that's the end of STUPID half-time shows. I thought I was just too old to enjoy that terrible MTV "music", but my children in their 20's think it's horrible too, so I figured it appeals only to teenagers that are trying to be rebellious. New thing, hugh?

Terry    Posted 02-02-2004 at 05:56:50       [Reply]  [No Email]
I am so glad to see the quotations marks around the word "music." There is no such thing as "rap music". There is either rap, or music. Combined they make up the biggest oxymoron of all.

Hey Patricia,

I am located in cloudy Tennessee. Home of the grand Ole Opery and Music City USA. Also home of the Titans who should have been playing in the super bowl if we only had some coaches. It is in the 40s here today but the wind chill is low 30s or maybe even 20s. But, anyway, come on up!!

Pack and come down!
Mi casa es su casa, you're welcome to my island anytime, just make sure your arrival's time comforms to a respetuous time of the day..

And, er, no thank you, oh I know you being the ambasador of good will and all I'll have to gracefuly decline your offer, I have all the cold stuff I need, nicely stored in the fridge..:-).
You just take care of keeping warm enough, cook some nice stew or soup, spring is closer.
