Does anyone know where i can find plans to make a s small scale gas or steam engine for my shop class?

There are often plans, parts & supplies for scale model steam engines in Steam Traction Magazine(formerly Iron Men Album).
For instance:
Castings sets and blueprints for 1/3 scale 1915 Case 65 HP traction engine.

you can try gas engine magazine for model engines.
the kits i have seen are rough castings and require a lot of machine work.the kits are also quite expensive.

Look for some British Steam Model Magazines. They will have adds for various casting kits you can buy. They are very good quality. You will need a set of special taps and dies for the small fasteners. They run good on compressed air so no need for a boiler.

thats fine for you to say your used to the cold , let him have a boiler if he wants might help warm him up a bit.
