wanted to mention to anyone using The Works around the house - be very careful around carpeting! that stuff splashed and by the time we got it up, it had melted a trench clear down to the padding. little $300 oops! also, never try to superglue on patent leather - it will start smoking :)

I haven't tried "The Works" for (carpet cleaning) That's a ha. but it is by no doubt the best and easiest rust remover I have ever seen.Way better than CLR and umteen other high dollar products I have tried. And it is CHEAP. Thanks for the heads up though, I didn't know it was that strong.

I have never bought that stuff, but now I won't for sure! I am a big oops person, and that stuff would be lethal in my hands! Thanks for the heads up on it. What are the ingredients anyway?

Thanks for the tip! I will keep using it though, it's the ONLY thing that gets that pesky rust.

Smoking shoes? Now that sounds interesting! p.s. roller skating Barbie was recalled, because her skates acted like the wheel & flint on a lighter and kids were setting stuff on fire! Imagine, Pyro Barbie!
