don't look at this thing for a couple days and every body is up in arms i've read back posts and might as well ad more fuel to fire at the begining of girls volleyball season we were in the gym said the pledge and started the game my dad came in a little late sat next to me did't say hi but wanted to know why the flag was hanging backward hanging down field to right not left no one else noticed but fixed next day ' went to basketball playoff game in city last year and i was told by police there that allthe men had to remove there hats for the whole game something to do with gangs or some such bull yet the three women sitting in front of me could keep theres on even during the national anthem a lot of small freedoms are disapairing everyday right under our nose i got a lot more enough for now

Because they are women. When I was a kid, almost all the women wore hats in church and I asked the same question. That was about 50 years ago. The rules are different for a woman regarding hats in situations like that. That's just the way it is and it is not disrespectful for them to wear a hat indoors or even in church. Just the opposite.
Of course, those bimbos you mentioned probably don't even know that. They just think they're getting away with something.

How about not removing hat when in church? Attended a funeral a while back where some guy didn't bother to remove his - thought it was in very poor taste.

my redneck in laws wear their baseball caps at the dinner table, they also serve themselves before everyone else sits at the table. they are young, stupid, ill mannered and their parents don't seem to notice or care.

i figured those who kept their sweaty caps on when the flag went by were too stoned or toasted to notice. wearing caps used to be a sign of baldness, then they were drug dealers hiding their hair color, now it's stupidity. and you can tell em i said so. :)

It's stupid to wear a hat? Or is it stupid to wear one in certain situations? My husband finds them quite practical. Keeps the sun out of his eyes and off his head. It also helps keeps the sweat out of his eyes while he is working. Of course he also knows where and when it belongs and dosen't belong.

many of our so called courtesies come from the bible. The issue of women wearing hats in church ect. and men not wearing them in the same situations comes from an interpretation of 1 Corinthians chapter 11 in the bible. I haven't stopped by this site in a while, hope you all are doing well.
Grace and Peace,
Corey
