I was just wondering what others were paying for your internet connection. I get my through my electric company.....Butler REC and pay $18.95 a month. Is that too much? I'm on a phone line so the fastest I ever get is 50667 bps. Usally it around 48000 bps.

Net-Zero cost me $9.95 a month and the first 2 mo. are free. There isn't much access here in W.V. but becuase my calling plan for the phone allows me unlimited long distance it didn't matter

I use to go through myvine before I moved, they have really good service and it's only about $10 per month for dial up. There are also a few free ones that I think are worth checking out. I think your paying double what you probably could be, so I would check around and see what you can do.

$8.95, 300 hours. You speed is entirely dependent on the quality of your phone lines not your ISP. Mine speed is about the same, yours is normal for dialup.

Lenore, is your ISP a local? That price looks real nice. I told my wife that if I could get a cheaper ISP I would get her a cell phone...like she really needed one. We're both retired.

My ISP is Academic Planet,
I am not sure how far and wide they reach.
I know they are all over Texas.
If you are interested you might check their site.

You can all do yourself a favor and dump the dial up. Lets see $12 a month for a line + $20 for the ISP.......for a few more dollars you can get broadband.....I promise you...you'll be much happier with it......I am.....
