Tell your kids!

Tell your kids that if somebody says they are going to shoot them if they don't go with them to tell them, "Ok, you will have to go ahead and shoot me here, because I'm not going anywhere with you." And to mean it.

Tell them that if somebody grabs them in a public place, like a store or a mall, to kick them in the groin and scream their heads off.

Tell them if someone grabs them and wants to drag them away, to go limp and make them carry dead weight every step of the way.

Tell them that maybe they will be hurt if they do this but they will heal up and have love every minute, but if they go with that person they will never have a chance to heal, they will be dead. TELL THEM!!!!!!!!!

Don't shelter your kids from the fact that there are monsters out there. Tell them. And tell them all the ways they can outsmart the monsters!!! Tell them now, while you can. Age 5 or 6 is not too young to start teaching them.

The blame is multifold...That girl should never have been allowed to walk alone in that area...

As guilty as the judges, lawyers and lawmakers are, so are the mother, the mother of the friend who let her leave alone, the woman that called the father, and a host of other people that let that poor little girl down...

Pardon me while I get my dander up and start kicking.

We know that a child was kidnapped and killed.
We all agree that nothing we humans on this earth can do that would be to good for the person/s committing the act.

And I hear things like this.

Hang em
Shoot em
Send em to the Electric chair.
Skin em Take 1" square of skin off a day until they are nothing left.
Feed em to the Gators.

But let a Drunk hit someone and kill a child.

Then the story changes.

He/She needs help
He/She a sickness
It was an accident

Why should a child being kidnapped and killed be any different than a child being killed by a drunk driver?

For the child the end result is the same.

Both cases

I stick by my guns.
Exacute em on the spot.

I got my Head and Shoulders and heading for the shower. Even thou I never did understand the Shoulder part of that shampoo...

"Why should a child being kidnapped and killed be any different than a child being killed by a drunk driver?"
-Lack of remorse
-Most of us have driven drunk, 1 in a million murders a kid
-If you drive drunk the chances are not that great that you will kill someone. If you try to kill a child, you will likely succeed.

You must have lost someone dear to you in a drunk driving crash, and thats truly sad. Comparing a drunk driver to a child killer or molester, however, is ludicrous IMHO.

If you drive sober your chances are much greater that you WILL NOT KILL someone. Where are the facts that back up your statement that most of us drive drunk? Why do drunks and lawyers cry "FOUL" if police set up outside a tavern and stop people they see leave driving a vehicle. I for one have never driven drunk. You want to get drunk that is fine just get a bottle crawl inside your house barn or whatever and stay there. You do not want to compare a drunk driver killing someone to a child killer or a molester but they sure belong on the same list maybe not at the top but nevertheless the same list. Your statement "Most of us have driven drunk" makes me wonder if you frequently drive drunk or are you just soft hearted toward drunk drivers. Driving drunk is not a disease it is a choice.

Maybe Battleborn should have said that most people who drink at all at one time or another have driven when they should not have. I think that is what he meant, and it would be accurate for myself and most of the people I know. And most persons who drive when they have had too much to drink get away with it--they don't get caught and are not unlucky enough to get in an accident. But you are right: driving drunk is a choice and it certainly is taking a chance with your own life and possibly the lives of others. I am proud to say that I was last intoxicated in 1976 and very likely will never be again.

But driving drunk shows recklessness or bad judgment or dare I say judgment impaired by an intoxicant. It sure sounds like the kidnapping and murder (and who knows what else?) of that child was an intentional act. The law appropriately looks upon reckless acts and intentional acts quite differently and punishes accordingly. Although the outcome is the same--the death of a child--I do not think the two crimes compare any where near equally.

My heart goes out to anyone who loses a child for any reason. It must be the worst thing that could ever happen to a parent..... But I would think that it would be even worse knowing that another human being purposely killed your child and the events leading up to that death were probably scary and painful for the child while it was happening.

Why can't we bring back the electric chair? The ba$tard needs something like that to get his attention.

you know - like with drug dealers or any other predators, we have it in our power to stop them cold, anytime we choose. i don't mean hassle them or slow them down, i mean render them extinct, period! why? because we outnumber them that's why.
i'll bet any country contains more grampas than social hazards. so if every grampa took the time to turn in the biggest drug dealer he knows, bingo! if every gramma reported the nearest suspected predator, the streets would be safer. every shady character out there has acquaintences and eats groceries so nobody is hidden for long. how did they finally find saddam? they were tipped off! think about it :)

heh heh - i'd sooner let the smartaleks rent a room, buy gas, eat, brag about owning this town, then have a squad car send out the word when they leave and let highway patrol burn their stash, claim their car and auction their toys. :)

Every time I see that picture on TV I get upset. I can't watch it anymore. That poor girl should have screamed and fought back. That monster grabing her arm and over powering her is so wrong it defies his right to any trial. I pray HeII will punish him in the worst ways posible. God give that family strength! Mark H.

You got it exactly right. Today's JUDGES are our greatest threat. Telling our elected legislators what laws to pass! Most of them are closet creeps themselves and they get away with it because of their positions and "power". Makes me sick to think about what happened to that little girl. Rest assured. The general prison population WILL pound out the proper justice on his kind given any chance. Been there, seen that, felt better.

your right on about the judges, they probably will put him in isolation to protect him , since its such a high profile case, but even if they don,t and he gets street justice on the inside its still better than he deserves.
