Been watching the local news here(Tn) last few days. Got lots of rain, and the idiots drive around barriers and high water signs. Then the local fire depart has to do a water rescue. I wish the Fire Depart would bill these idiots, and the news report it. Maybe it will stop some of these folks. Here the Fire/Police are risking their lives to saves idiots.

I say rescue the passengers and leave the driver.Make for real good TV seeing how things turn out.Probably would stop others from wanting to be stars.

Where I used to live (Duvall, WA.) the river flooded over the road. A man, wife and baby tried to go accross around the signs. The car stalled in the water and the man got out to get help and was swepted away down stream. The fire dept got the wife and baby out. The man was found several days later hung up in a barb wire fence in a pasture. He could have drove another mile and went over another bridge but chose not to?? Mark H.

Yep, that's who they are usually rescuing, people who foolishly put their lives in danger. They usually endanger others in the process. I guess most of us do dang-fool things from time to time.

here they spend all their time and money finding lost skiers and snowmobilers, doesn,t matter if they put hazard signs up thats especially when they will go into places they shouldn,t be, some resorts and rescue outfits are either staring to charge them or are in the process of setting up the process so they can, right now its the taxpayer who picks up most of the tab.
