I read this weekend that the 1918 Spanish Flu (killed twenty or fourth million depending on who you believe) was genetically tested and found to come from birds.

Times change and things stay the same.

It really hit this country hard. If I remember correctly (reading) it spread throughout the U.s. due to troops coming home after WW-I. I believe the East coast got hit with one h-ll of a storm in 1919?, something like 8 feet of snow in a number of days?
