should I leave the eggs in the nest? I'm trying to get the chickens to hatch some,(only 2 hens & a rooster) and there are 14 eggs today. I left them as of the 2nd of Feb. but I'm not sure if they are sitting on them. When I look into the box at night, it seems there is one of the hens on the nest. If I should go ahead and remove them, should they be tossed out? It's been "ice-box" here, so don't know even if they could be used as dog food. When should I try again? Thanks.

I don't think frozed eggs will hatch. But, maybe the hens know better than I. This is one for those who are more knowledgeable than I. Good luck........gfp...who admits he doesn't know why the chicken crossed the road.

Now, all you experts out there in K/L land, help juliana out.

frozen eggs wont hatch.. depending on where you live..best time should be abouts april/may for hatching... takes 21 days ..maybe invest in a incubator if you wanna hatch & hen isnt sitting...
