I once saw a toilet that had the hot water piped to it by mistake, (no I didn't do it). Problem with it was that the steam wasn't very pleasant, if you get what I'm saying? LOL!

Saw one of those on This old house just recently. Good idea, but we don't have a long enough extention cord to reach the out house.

If you have in-floor radiant heat, you have warm toilets. ;>)

just don't run hot water thru the throne -certain part weren't designed for that. like the wax bowl ring that keeps it from flooding the room.:)

I installed a hot/cold mixing valve for the toilet tank to prevent the tank from sweating but that don't help the seat none....
Salmoneye gave me a link to Kohler who makes heated seats so that's what I will order and install shortly.

Doesn't work. Look at the test results.

Seriously...is that the result of a heated toilet seat?

Wisereader    Posted 02-12-2004 at 05:13:26       [Reply]  [No Email]
The seat got warm all right! But no, this was just a shot from a fire that occurred last weekend at my grandparent-in-laws' place.

I bet...    Posted 02-12-2004 at 05:11:08       [Reply]  [No Email]

A split seat [commercial type] and a pair of wool socks works very well.
