Here's a little presentation that was actually created by some farm friendly folks, then adopted by PETA, and the only changes they needed to make were the links at the end.
Kind of odd that such a radical group could find so much ammo from within our own ranks.

Uh...    Posted 02-15-2004 at 05:34:41       [Reply]  [No Email]
Dunno who you think the "farm friendly folks" are, but that bit was commissioned by PETA from a leftwing graphics company by the name of FreeRangeGraphics...It has absolutely NOTHING to do with free range animals...Trust me, or see the link...Some of their 'other clients' are 'Free Tibet', The Brady Campaign, Planned Parenthood, GreenPeace, and EarthJustice...

Salmoneye,

Not exactly,    Posted 02-15-2004 at 06:16:11       [Reply]  [No Email]
The Meatrix was created in an effort to promote "Family Farms" as opposed to factory farming, eventually it was adopted by PETA and use as you see it now. In it's origional state, the links at the end took you to some family farm type sites. Here's the authors and their credits. Later
Ron

The Meatrix was created by the following “aggies”:

Chris Petersen - Factory Farm Consultant
Chris is President Iowa Farmers Union.

Leslie Seff - Director, Sustainable Energy Project Leslie raises sheep for their wool in New York's Hudson Valley.

Terry Spence - Factory Farm Consultant
Terry owns and operates a 400-acre cow/calf farm in Putnam County, Missouri.

Lisa Bechthold - Factory Farm Consultant
Lisa Bechthold raises and sells quarter horses on her farm in Foremost, Alberta, Canada.

Sue Jarrett - Factory Farm Consultant
Sue is a California rancher who raises beef for fast food restaurants

You may be correct, but danged if I can get closer than this...

"The Meatrix was created by Free Range Graphics (www.freerangegraphics.com) for GRACE, the Global Resource Action Center for the Environment (www.gracelinks.org). GRACE's aim is to eliminate factory farming in favour of a sustainable food production system, which is healthful and humane, economically viable, and ecologically sound. The site has great resources and links to other websites concerned with sustainable agricultural practices."

And you are getting this info from where?

I noticed....    Posted 02-15-2004 at 05:54:32       [Reply]  [No Email]
...that freerange does not list PETA in their partial clients list. Wonder why that is.
