Well yall this morning I felt a cooler than normal and a fresher breeze comming in my bedroom window. I reched over opened the shade and the biggest flakes of snow ive ever seen were falling. We had 4 inches this morning. most of it is gone now but i di exercise the new digital camera a bit. My dogs birt day ws yesterday it was kinda funny for her to be a year old and then get herfirst snow today. we had a big walk in the wood and down the firelines. THats been the biggest snow here for a while Id like to see a few more.

I have 2 backhoes theat say they coud handle 2 feet of the stuff lol. We had one 10 inch snow several years ago but now its usually 1 inch per year. Id love to see a good snow. Dad told me right about the spiders in the shop when they get that abundant its gonna be a a tough winter for here which would be mild for yall. Id like to see a little more snow this year already.

Taylor, the snow here is about 18" or so deep but no fun playin in now. I was out this morning for a walk and it becomes a real chore to get off the drive or a packed trail. You might get a step or two on top then your leg falls through to knee deep or better for several steps then you might get another step or two on top before crashing through again. Too much like work just to walk.

Snow has been melting here for a week, and we still ahve about 6 inches of it in the Holler. Problem is, it melts in the afternoon, and then freezes again. Even the packed trails are now glare ice. I salted a path to the cars and truck, and it got wet and froze over. More firewood, 'sposed to get colder tonight, near zero.
