Misery Loves Company!

I am miserable, so I want company!!
I have been sick for the last six days.
The weather has been cold, damp and dreary, too, that does not help.
It started like just allergy, clear watery runny nose, sneezing.
Then next day it went to more of the same and added a headache.
Third day started aching, running nose turned in to coughing, too and low grade temp.
Forth day, coughing up yucky stuff, blowing more out of nose;
nose so sore from blowing it starts bleeding.
Fifth day more of the same and added aching ribs from coughing so much!
My ribs are so sore, the thought of another cough or sneeze is frightening.

At least the sun is out today;
maybe that is a good thing.

Thanks, company!
Hope I did not gross y'all out too much.

I hope you get well soon. Cuz, REt is starting to post things that resembles anti-Bush stuff. And, you know how much clout he carries. Some of these fellows and girls might start to beleive him. So, rest up and get better. Then when you feel up to it, put your fighting face on and square off on him..........gfp

Boy, thanks, the only clout I carry is with my dogs, and they don't pay me much attention either.
But,about Bush, got to call them as you see them, and if he really thinks there are going to be a 1,000,000 new good jobs this year, I sincerely hope he is right, but will bet it don't happen. Then, he will be gone. On top of that, he is spending money like it is free, guess it is, yours and mine

Sorry I was a little late tonight...I hope your on your last stretch of it, hopefully it will be gone in a day or so. I have felt a bug myself, coming on, just like you are describing. Had a sore throat last night, sinuses messed up today, and as I type, I have a headache. Maybe it will stop there. I sure hope so. SHelby has this whole week out of school, had plans to go and do stuff, fun stuff.

You take care of yourself, don't push yourself to do more than you should, my mom tries to do that, I talk her out of it, she is sick now as a matter of fact. She went to the doc, she had a sinus infection. Got her some antibiotics going now...

Feel better...we love you! :)

Lenore, I hope you can't catch this virus over the internet. Lord willing you'll start feeling better soon. Stan

I sure hope you fell better real soon, I want you healthy for my tormenting.:) Lol

deadcarp    Posted 02-16-2004 at 15:41:33       [Reply]  [No Email]
try mom's old "cold remedy". it's piping hot water, sugar, brandy and lemon juice. it's mixed 4,3,2,1 starting with the mildest thing. you might sweat but in a few minutes you'll be asleep like a baby. :)

ret    Posted 02-16-2004 at 15:24:04       [Reply]  [No Email]
my grandkids got colds, daughter has one, son in law is sick, just waiting for it to hit me.Think I will sterilize my system with apricot brandy.
If you get a bad fever, go to the docs, That is an order LOL

TB    Posted 02-16-2004 at 15:10:49       [Reply]  [No Email]
Have you been to see the Doc yet. There is somthing like that going around that ends up with (phenomia)spelling?, If it gets too bad dont wait. Oh take care and get well soon.

Donna from Mo    Posted 02-16-2004 at 15:09:38       [Reply]  [No Email]
For some reason, I haven't had a single cold this winter so far. I usually have three mild ones per season. I guess you are getting the ones I'm missing. Hope you start feeling better soon.

Les    Posted 02-16-2004 at 15:38:31       [Reply]  [No Email]
Ditto here. And I've been surrounded by people with all kinds of creeping cruds. I used to get at least one of what Lenore describes every winter. It's been at least 3 years since that has happened. Probably doesn't hurt that I haven't touched a smoke in two years.
And I do get a flu shot every fall.

Suggest you see your Doctor quick or check in at the local Emergency Room. Lots of different things going around now-a-days that are quite deadly. Better safe than sorry!

Newgen    Posted 02-16-2004 at 15:05:32       [Reply]  [No Email]
Hope you get feeling better soon-I had a bout with fever/chills last week myself, so I know how you feel. Just sit down and have yourself a bowl of chicken soup {I don't know if it does any good or not but it sounds good}--and pretty soon you'll be good as new!

toolman    Posted 02-16-2004 at 15:04:45       [Reply]  [No Email]
now you know how we live from nov to

Stan , I hope not but I sure have sneezed a bunch on the screen!

TO35, Donna, Les, Newgen and all thanks. I have had a bowl of hot chicken soup, and later will have several cups of hot almond tea.

Deadcarp, I would if I had the necessary ingredients, unfortuantely I am missing the brandy.

Dieselrider, I know I will recover and let the tormenting begin then, Not now!!

Ret, Jon & TB I have not run a high fever only low 100.5. My DIL is a nurse and she came by this evening and listened to my lungs, said they sounded "very good".

I am usually "Dr. Mom" in this family and never get sick. It sort of confuses the family when I do. LOL

Toolman, I dont know how you nawtheners survive up there! If I have to go without sunshine for more than a few days I am miserable.

Thanks for all the good words and suggestions, I appreciate it.
Hugs to all *cough, cough* Ahhchoooo....
Hope you all stay well.
