180-pound fish?

they showed on last nites news (wisconsin i think) some ice fisherman had speared a huge sturgeon. it was like 79 inches long. anybody see that?

White sturgeon out in the NW can break 1,000 lbs.Easy.Saw a picture of some guys here (MD) in the 1880s with an Atlantic sturgeon that looks to be 12-14' long,judging from the men and he mules pulling it ashore.Dave

if you want to see a large sturgeon, check out the pictures on the "lyle,wa" site old picture on columbia river still applies today just not as many to go around.

They have some huge ones at the Tennessee Aquarium. I can believe 180 pounds. They have big ole catfish, really big, there too. Never seen catfish so big.

I have seen only one Sturgeon in my life and that was in a small creek near here...I can easily believe that it went 180...

J C Garland hauled in a 140 lb. catfish. It's mounted and hung in the glass-shop of Drakes Automotive. See it to believe it.
