My sympathies. May your memories quickly turn to the joy and love you have been blessed with by your parents. I will raise a glass (one for him, one for you)

Frieda and I have both shared your pain loosing and have said the surface goodbyes over our parents. But, for their physical lose, spiritually they are beside you. They remain parts of you. We pray you and yours remember your father and mother as fondly as we remember ours.

Glass is being lifted right now.

Sincere condolences. It is ALWAYS hard to say good bye, and no doubt that he will be missed.

Sorry about your loss john. At 87, he'd had a pretty good practice session to warm up for the long run. And looks like your folks turned out a pretty fair crop. God bless them both. :)

The beauty of life is facing the trials and tribulations and living till God calls us home.

It's good if one can meet the challenges and live to see and appreciate one's own accomplishments.
Then, at the time of passing, all of one's friends come together to bid a fond farewell.

From what you wrote, your father's passing is nothing less than life taking a different direction. ........gfp

hello old john,
your father sounds like a great man. all of you seem to have been given a good example. based upon how everyone is doing now i'd say you have a grateful father.

someone once told me that death is like closing one door and opening another. god bless all of you.

I think that the hardest thing sometimes to remember is that our parents are suppose to pass before we do so they are in the Kingdom of Our Father to guide us so we will have no fear when it is our time..altho the pain must be terrible know that your dad probably went willingly to join his love and await your return to him and your mom..
