Hello,

I received an Alladin lamp (23 on turn wheel) and have NO idea WHERE to buy supplies or HOW to change the wick?

HELP?

I'm a newby from eastern PA but we live in the country and I'm trying to depend less on our oil heat and more on our heatalator fireplace and to use this Alladin lamp more.
THANK YOU AGAIN--HOPE you all have a safe, warm place in this awful wintertime right now. I AM READY for summer.
LOVE TO GARDEN and teach decorative painting of flowers! My dh does vege gardens and I do flower gardens.
Blessed with two daughters--one of which is GREAT with gardens and is a wonderful help and friend to me!

got our first one for light, just in case the electricity ever went out.

Now we have lots, and use them all winter long. We say they're not really a collection as long as we use them, right?

Welcome Martha.
I know nothing of Aladdin lamps, except I would like to have a few of them.

I tried to upload it and can't, so I'm going to email you a pdf copy of the instruction manual that comes with the lamp. It will explain all.

good luck, and enjoy the lamp!

I'll beat that guy with the bees to the punch this time heh heh...

Here are the assembly and lighting instructions...

http://www.aladdinknights.org/lighting.htm

#23 burner parts are readily available...My local hardware store carries mantles and wicks (you need both)...If they do not stock them, they should certainly be able to order them for you...If not, see the site below for all sorts of links to lamps, parts and dealers...You can also pick up parts on eBay...

http://www.aladdinknights.org/links.htm

Welcome to The Knights...Once you learn to use an Aladdin lamp, you will never settle for any other (unless you HAVE to)...Aladdin also made the single best wick type heater of all time in their Blue Flame Heater...

Wow, I'm feelin' old, got beat twice in the same day. And you provided lots better info than I did, too.

Guess I'm going to have to quit doing any work here at work, and just watch this board, like you do!

whooo hooo, what a burn! :-)

Forgot to mention other daughter is a JOY to all of us and is wonderful to her grammy---MY MOM-who is 86 lives with us and Jessie just seems to KNOW when "grammy" needs some love or a phone call.
ANYONE else out there have parent with memory and physical (walking) problems LIVING with them?
