Hello Everyone, We're in the middle of patching up an old packing barn. I'm going to build a machine shed on one side of it. The door will be 12' wide and 10' tall. The hardware I've seen for sale at the farm stores have rollers that are undersized and flimsy looking. I figure the door will weigh more than the rollers can handle. I sure don't want to get good at replacing them. Any ideas? |

| Should'nt be any problem like Bill says,I've got 10X10's and 12X 14's,work just fine. I guess You could go to an industrial Bldg supply place and get realy heavy duty roller hangers, dunno. Feller could make His own like tha real old ones with wheels runnin in a track ,could fabricate tha whole shebang without too much hassle but time Ya figure Your time and materil against cost and quality think You'd do as well just goin ta tha local Farm supply place. |

use more rollers spaced across the top of the door .if the rollers have the carrying capacity listed simply divide capacity of the rollers by the weight of the door and that will tell you how many rollers you need .same applies to the hangers . |

I am having trouble finding flat track hardware for 2 sliding barn doors. Each is 8' high X 11' long and 1 1/2" thick. I want them to look like what was used in the 1890's, a reproduction if possible. If you know of a supplier, please e-mail me back. Thanks, DJM |
